Education

I take pride in educating my clients throughout the entire process. Buying a house can seem intimidating & overwhelming, but that's why I'm here! I want to help educate homebuyers on what we were never taught in school, and show that getting a mortgage doesn't have to be so stressful!

Buying a house is the largest financial decision 99.9% of us will ever make. It is extremely important to understand what you're getting yourself into.

I am a Student of the Industry - I read about the market constantly, I take classes to continue to expand my knowledge, and I talk to as many industry veterans as I can. The more I learn, the more I can educate!

Transparency

In this industry (and in life!) it is super important to be honest and transparent. I will never take a shot in the dark when it comes to your mortgage. If there is something that I don't know, I will search for the answer and let you know what I find - and look at that, we're both being educated!

I truly love developing and maintaining relationships with people, it's honestly my favorite part about this career! I can't do that if I don't earn your trust. I can't earn your trust or build any sort of credibility without being honest with you. Again, this is the largest financial decision you're ever going to make. That is why I want to make you as informed as possible, so you understand the long-term implications of the loan you're taking.

Speed

I want to let you in on a little secret about the mortgage industry: TIME KILLS DEALS. The longer we are in process, the more variables come into play. The industry average closing time is 45 days. Do you know how much can change in a month and a half? EVERYTHING. With me and United Mortgage Lending, our average close is 14 days - 3X quicker!

I want the keys in your hands as quickly and efficiently as possible. But how can I do this? I take my Pre-Approval process very seriously. I will verify Income, Assets, and Credit before you start placing offers. This way we know UP FRONT what you qualify for. This also means when we do find the perfect home, we already have the majority of what we'll need to get you those keys! The rest of our process is extremely streamlined, and you'll be kept in the loop the whole time.

What I Can Offer

I am a Wholesale Loan Officer at a Brokerage, meaning I have access to multiple lenders to ensure I can fit your specific needs. Every loan is different, and I have the tools to create a custom loan tailored to you! Beyond Conventional, FHA, & VA, I also have access to Bank Statement Loans, DSCR Loans, One Time Close New Constructions, Renovation Loans, & much more! United Mortgage Lending has saved countless deals that other companies were unable to originate.

Conventional

Conventional Loans typically look for higher credit and a larger down payment; however, the days of putting 20% are in the past. As a First Time Homebuyer, you can put as little as 3% down, meaning you can save a ton of money up front.

FHA

FHA Loans are backed by the government, and insured by the Federal Housing Administration. These loans are more tailored to lower-income and lower-credit borrowers, and only require a 3.5% Down Payment. FHA is a great option for a buyer who does not qualify for Conventional Financing.

VA Loans are guaranteed by the Department of Veteran Affairs, and are available to active-duty service members, veterans, and eligible surviving spouses. Qualifying Veterans can take advantage of 100% financing, putting 0% down up front. Veterans deserve the best, and that's what we want to provide!

Who is Loans by Luke?

Before I work with someone, I want to know who they are, & I expect other people to do the same with me! So, who am I?

I've lived in White Lake, Michigan my entire life, & I don't plan on leaving Oakland Country any time soon. I graduated from Detroit Catholic Central in 2016, & went on to play baseball at Jackson College for 2 years. There is no "official" record, but if you go to Jackson Baseball's archived stats, count up each pitchers wins, there will be one who has more than anyone else. Research it then let me know who it is!

After Jackson, I was lucky enough to continue playing at Grand Valley State University for 3 years while studying Finance & General Management. I quickly fell in love with Grand Rapids & Lake Michigan. The west side of the state is awesome!

At both schools, I had the honor of meeting & playing with some of my closest friends. Quick shoutout to all my old teammates!

After college & baseball I was really unsure of what I wanted to do. I knew I liked talking to people & developing relationships, but I still didn't know how I wanted to utilize my skills. Then a friend told me about United Wholesale Mortgage. I didn't know a thing about the industry, but a year & a half at the Number 1 Lender will teach you a thing or two! I learned a ton & enjoyed it so much, I knew I had to be on the other side working directly with the homebuyer.

I joined a brokerage, Meta Mortgage, in the beginning of 2023 & I haven't looked back! Helping new homebuyers better understand mortgages, then seeing their faces light up as they get the keys to their dream home is one of the most rewarding moments I've ever experienced. Fast forward to the end of 2023 - our Team at Meta has since merged with a Top 100 Brokerage in the nation: United Mortgage Lending. The level of support, technology, & experience at UML has allowed our Team to take our production & process to the next level. I'm extremely grateful & beyond excited to do this for as long as I can!

I am also a massive fan of nature & our beautiful planet. I love being outside, camping, hiking, learning about wildlife, and donating to causes I believe in! Oh, and I have a YouTube :)
